Many places in Florida have amazing panoramic views but there is one like no other located in the Everglades. A visit to one lookout point in Shark Valley will have you entrapped in lush landscapes and unbelievable views.
The Everglades are packed with bushy shrubs, gator holes, prairies, tropical hammocks and lots of wildlife. It is the perfect place to go biking, exploring, and stargazing. Shark Valley has an observation tower where you can see the best panoramic view from 45 feet up. The spiral concrete walkway will lead you to the top where you can see the most densley green oasis.
Depending on the time you go your experience will change. During the dry season, you will see different prairies covered in limestone and the wet season brings a shallow of water. This ecosystem is one of the best places for adventure and you can even watch alligators up close.
The park has an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle which is good for 7 days from the day of purchase.
Come during night time and you will see a sky full of stars. It is recommended that you bring your own food and water, as restaurants are limited in the area. Always keep a safe distance when viewing wildlife in the park and avoid selfies.
The park also offers airboat tours and other activities such as bird watching, boating, camping, paddlesports (canoe and kayak), fishing, geocaching, hiking and more.
Shark Valley is located at 36000 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33194. Entrance to this place is from 8:30 am to 6 pm.
