This Boardwalk Trail Near Tampa Has An Observation Tower With Free Panoramic Treetop Views

Located in St. Pete just off of Highway 275, Sawgrass Lake Park is a massive nature preserve that boasts four hundred acres of untouched land. You and your crew can dive straight into the greenery on a mile-long boardwalk that winds through a tunnel of trees.
The walkway feels a bit like a fairyland because of the website.and exotic birds that can flutter by. In fact, local animal sightings are considered so amazing here that they attract ecotourists from all over the world according to the official park
Arguably the crowning jewel of this nature preserve though is the which overlooks Sawgrass Lake. Here you can climb a wide, elevated, wooden staircase to a covered enclave with a breathtaking view.

For the folks who are looking to get down and dirty, there is a half-mile dirt and sand trail where you can explore the swamp from the ground level too.

If you aren’t down to spend a whole afternoon hiking, the park has a picnic shell and grill, where you can throw a killer cooking session with your friends, family or bae.
Just be sure to get there early! The park doesn’t take reservations for the grill, and since there is only one, it can be competitive to get a spot.

Do keep an eye out for the time, though. The park is open every day at 7 a.m. but closes at various times throughout the week, so it's not the best spot for a late hang-out.
