The bar scene in Fort Lauderdale is not like your regular bar-hopping scene. Here you will find dreamy rooftops, secluded speakeasies and entry-code only bars. Unit B is a bar that requires a door code to get in.
The code is not as easy to get. Every night the code changes and you are required to submit a form beforehand. You can submit it on the website here. This bar brings a different twist to Fort Lauderdale bringing the same level of authenticity of other speakeasies such as in New York and Chicago.
According to New Times, entrance to Unit B is located behind a wood-paneled door with a keypad. What seems like a simple storage unit is actually the entrance to a secret society of drinkers who love a well-crafted cocktail.
The vintage aesthetic and intimate environment provides guests a place to relax and imbibe in special booze. Unit B brings surprises from night to night such as belly dancers, burlesque shows or a tarot card reader.
The menu features eight Prohibition-inspired cocktails transporting guests to the 1920's era and tropical vibe of old South Florida.
From Old Havana flavors to Manhattan tastes, Unit B brings a unique touch to every drink the bartenders prepare. A sip of Aromatic Apologies mixed with nobushi Japanese whiskey, rosemary sage, sesame seeds and a hint of aquafava, lime and sugar will elevate your spirits.
As mentioned by a Yelp Reviewer, Unit B features "Delicious craft cocktails, aesthetically pleasant, inviting atmosphere and the employees are cool too!" Once you enter the code, all you have to do is walk up the stairs to cocktail haven.
