Enjoying saucy chicken, downing booze and listening to live music is what some would say the perfect way to kick off spring is. Free festivals near Atlanta this year include this epic fest celebrating all things wings and rock 'n' roll. Join the party and jam out for a drunken good time filled with endless food and nostalgic tunes.
The annual Wing & Rock Fest will once again take over Etowah River Park in Canton for the 15th year in a row. If you love spicy, saucy, sticky wings plus live rock music and beer, rally up the squad on March 28 for a finger-lickin' good time.
At the third-largest chicken wing festival in the entire U.S., you'll be able to nosh on over 50 types of mouthwatering wings from over 15 local restaurants and food trucks.
Although the 2020 vendors have yet to be announced, you can expect to fill your bellies with bites from Soul Truckin' Good, Good Eatz, Jerk Brothers and J. Miller's Smokehouse, which were all participants in the 2019 event.
While getting your hands messy, you can revel in the great outdoors by jamming out to talented tribute bands covering legendary rock music from Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC, Weezer and more.
Don't worry about any entry fees because this two-day festival is completely free. Of course, you'll have to purchase food and drinks separately at each tent.
Judges will name "Best Buffalo Wing" and "Best Overall Wing" from the slew of competitors. Last year, Castello’s Jamerican Cuisine & The Chicken Coop Food Truck took the top spots.
If you don't want to miss out on all the hype, grab your crew for this boozy, chicken-eating extravaganza.
