It is no secret that Savannah, Georgia is one of the most haunted cities in the nation. It is Georgia's first city and was the site for war battles and diseases back in the 1700s and 1800s. This inn and restaurant are one of Savannah's oldest locations. Legend has it, a girl named Anna threw herself off a third story balcony and died, according to the Inn. In room 204, THE room, guests have reported jewelry missing, or things being taken out of their bags, according to the website. This used to be a hospital in 1864, but then it turned permanent hotel in 1999. This hotel used to be a hospital during the Civil War and was around for two yellow fever epidemics. Rumor has it that you can hear kids running down the hall at night and some guests have even seen sightings of ghosts in the foyer and along the long, dark, hotel hallways at night. You might be familiar with this location because of the famous book, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." It was built in 1783 and was a private mansion, and the basement eventually became a medical practice location. Many people died in this house including two little girls that lived there, and apparently, Dr. Turner performed autopsies in the basement.
