There's A Massive Oyster Festival In Georgia This Month & It's Seafood Goals
Raw, grilled, or fried, all with booze!
While it may be too soon to start hitting those outdoor food fests in Atlanta yet, that doesn't mean you don't want to indulge in some delicious local cuisine at some of your favorite restaurants around the local area. Luckily, there are still plenty of spots to check out in the winter. That's especially true if you're looking for a boozy and food-filled Mardi Gras 2020.
If you're looking for some tasty seafood and a Mardi Gras celebration you don't have to travel all the way to New Orleans for, you're going to want to check out the 2020 Smyrna Oysterfest going down at Atkins Park Restaurant and Bar on Saturday, January 25, and Sunday, January 26.
It's your chance to slurp as many oysters as you can and wash it all down with some boozy drinks. It's the festival's ninth year, and they're going to go all out this year.
It's a two-day festival with raw, fried, and grilled oysters, live music, and plenty of beer and more.
This Mardi Gras celebration is going to have live music and entertainment all located in a heated tent, so you don't even have to worry about the weather. Tickets are likely to sell out fast, so if you're interested, you should get yours as soon as possible.
Tickets for this event aren't even too expensive either. You can get access to the event both days for just $15 or one day for $8. However, tickets are more expensive if you buy them at the door—they'll cost you $12.
For those who want to get the festival off to an amazing start, you can also come out to the Oysterfest Eve Kickoff event on Friday, January 24. You can check out the restaurant and see what else it has to offer.
