If you're ready for sunshine, hot weather and long days to return, you're probably happy that Georgia has been starting to warm up lately. Luckily, that means summer is just around the corner. It also means that you're going to have to find ways to cool off soon, and water parks in Georgia should be at the top of your list.
Those who want to enjoy a fun-filled day in the water should check out Splash in the Boro, located in Statesboro, Georgia. It's not operating quite yet, but it's reopening on May 16.
This water park is massive and offers a ton of attractions. If you're just looking to relax, the lazy river might be your best option. It's 800 feet long, and it will give you the chance to wind around the other pools.
Another fun attraction is the wave pool. It contains about 340,000 gallons of water, and it actually produces waves. That way, you don't have to go all the way to a Georgia beach just to enjoy a few waves.
There's also the FlowRider, which basically allows you to surf on a small scale right here at the park. It does cost extra, but it's totally worth it if you want to get active at the water park.
Adrenaline junkies - you're also in luck. You can slide down one of the many slides in this place as well. Go for the really tall ones, which are up to 45 feet high, or something on the smaller side if you don't do well with heights.
Even if you're not feeling super adventurous, you can always just enjoy the sun and cool off in the water whenever you get too hot. Don't forget to bring your whole crew along with you.
Tickets are only $19 for the day, so you don't even have to break your budget to get some fun in the sun. There's food there as well, so don't worry about having to bring any with you.
This place offers all the warm-weather fun you'll want once the weather starts heating up again.
