Lavender Oaks Farm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina is open to the public from mid-May until early August. From September to April, you can still tour the farm, but by appointment only. One of the only lavender places that are open year-round.
During the warmer months, the farm usually has u-pick events and you can actually pick your own lavender right off the farm. The best part: it's only $10.
As soon as you walk onto this farm, you'll be hit with the soothing smell of lavender. You'll be too infatuated with the beauty of the rows upon rows of herbs to be tired, so don't worry about that.
It really doesn't get more relaxing than this. You can unplug from the world and roam the 42.5 acres with no worries except for how many stems you're going to take home.
Lavender Oaks grows nine different types of lavender. On the u-pick days, you'll be able to take home each type and see which one is your favorite. Don't forget to bring your own scissors and bucket as well!
