In order to withstand the heat in the heart of summer in North Carolina, you must go out and find some water. With the number of rivers that flow through the state, you're bound to find a spot where you can jump right in. This river tubing excursion in North Carolina is only $6 and it'll be the hit of the summer.

Deep Creek in Bryson City, North Carolina has two different tubing options. You can either go white water-tubing or lazy river-tubing. At the end, there is a giant swimming hole you can take a dip into.

This stream runs right through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park so you know it's not only going to be freezing but a great time.

Tubing season starts Memorial Day and goes through Labor Day, so you have many months to enjoy this cheap deal and experience some rapids.

There are also many tubing adventures throughout the South, like in Georgia and in Texas, so you can take a few road trips this summer to get in on the adventure everywhere.

This adventure lasts for about a mile and you get to choose if you want to experience the upper or lower section, depending on your experience.

The upper-level section is much narrower and has more rapids than the lower one. If you're looking for that adrenaline rush, these are for you.

The website warns that you might get booted out of your tube at some points, but that's just a part of all the fun.

The lower section is for those who just want to relax down the river for a few hours. Your group can easily stay together and you'll have less of a chance of falling out of your tube.

Between the upper and lower sections, there's a huge swimming hole. This is a place you can ditch the tube and jump into the water. You can even jump off the huge boulders into the deep pool to cool off.

If you're looking for a whole lot of fun, going after it rains will be a totally different experience. The water levels will rise and there will be many rapids in the river.
