Airlie Gardens located Wilmington, North Carolina is one of the most of its kind. Sitting on 64 acres, you can take all the walking trails to take you through secret passageways and different parts of the garden.
They even allow weekend picnics, unlike many other. This makes it the perfect spot to go on a unique and different kind of date.
Airlie Gardens is mainly known for the insane amount of azaleas that bloom in the gardens each year, over 75,000 to be exact. There is also a 500-year-old ginormous oak tree that makes the perfect spot to lay under and relax.
On the massive 67 acres, there's also 10 acres of lakes which makes the gardens look like something right out of a fairytale.
The gardens are open all year-round, so even now is a great time to visit (even if it might be a little chilly). Some flowers that are in bloom right now include Ginger Lilies, Pineapple Lilies, Wild Petunias and Purple Cone Flowers.
Aside from all the flowers and different gardens, there is a butterfly house that's open from May to October each year. It's an open-air structure so you'll see thousands of butterflies flying around you.
