As much as we don't want to admit it, we love watching Hallmark movies with the same plots and the same endings. This is the time of year that small towns turn into replicas of these magical movie scenes that you can actually visit in real life. This small town in North Carolina turns into a Hallmark Christmas scene every year, and it should be on your holiday bucket list.
Forest City in Rutherford County in North Carolina is known for its massive Christmas celebration. From Nov. 28 to Jan. 1, you can enjoy Main Street that's covered in millions of lights and holiday goodness.
While Forest City is already a cute little town in general, it gets even cuter during the holidays. This tradition has been around since 1930 and it gets better and bigger every single year.
On Thanksgiving night, the kick-off of the Christmas festivities include the annual lighting ceremony, so you can hold off on the "Black Friday" shopping for a bit to experience this.
Every night from there on out, the lights will light up the small town and you can visit for no charge. There are a few activities that will be going on every single night that you cannot miss.
There are hayrides and horse-drawn carriage rides closer to Christmas which will really feel like you are in a Charlie Brown Christmas Special.
There is also ice skating that's only $8 and even live music that can be heard all throughout the town every night. This is sounding more and more like the perfect date night spot, isn't it?
