If you didn't grow up eating cornbread, are you even from the South? Nothing says Southern comfort food like some good old-fashioned cornbread and now you can actually celebrate it. The National Cornbread Festival in Tennessee let's you stuff your belly full of cornbread for only $5 and it's coming this spring.

The National Cornbread Festival is an annual festival in Pittsburg, Tennessee that fills the town with all things carbs. You and friends can come out and celebrate your roots this April because you'll get to taste some of the most unique versions of the Southern classic.

The cornbread cook-off is giving chili a run for its money. Affectionately named Cornbread Alley, the fest will feature cornbread with new and exciting recipes like Old English hush puppies, Italian pesto fritters and German gingerbread.

Cornbread isn't the only thing you'll get to indulge in here. Over 25 food vendors will set up shop to offer additional treats. Last year's vendors had donuts, shaved ice, BBQ, corndogs, Cajun eats and so much more.

Not only is this a giant food fest, it also doubles as a giant carnival. You can bring out your inner child on lots of classics like the ferris wheel and all the dizzy rides.

The festival is jam-packed with activities at every corner so you won't go bored during this highly-anticipated breaded frenzy.

There will be non-stop live music on four stages, eating contests, exhibits, tours, a car show, arts and crafts, shopping and even a 5K.

Admission to the festival, which will take place Apr. 25 and 26 this year, is only $7 per day and we can guarantee you'll get the biggest bang for your buck.
