There's A Rustic B&B That Sits 6,360 Feet In Elevation In The Tennessee Smokies
You have to hike to it to see it!
You can get your body moving and you usually see some pretty insane views when you hike. You will also work up a big appetite by the time you're finished. Tennessee has the right idea because this trail in the Smokies has an actual restaurant in the middle of it.
LeConte Lodge is located on the top of the East Tennessee side of the Smoky Mountains and it is only accessible to it. It's secluded so the views are breathtaking and some of the best food you'll ever eat. There are also llamas and deer that reside here, which makes it that much better.
You can get to the lodge three different ways:, Bullhead Trail and Boulevard Trail. You actually have to work for your meal, literally.
Not only is this spot a restaurant, but hikers can also spend the night. Since you have to hike to the lodge, you know that it won't be too populated or crowded when you visit.
The supplies the lodge uses are brought up by llamas three times a week. With no roads leading up to the lodge, this is the most efficient way to get the job done.
Staying a night at this spot will get you dinner and breakfast. If you are just passing through, you can grab a sack lunch that consists of bagel, cream cheese packet, beef summer sausage, fruit leather, trail mix, cookies and Gatorade drink packet, all for only $12.
To stay overnight in one of the cabins on-site, rates run at about $154 a night. This includes dinner and breakfast too! You'll wake up to some of the most beautiful views you've ever seen.
LeConte Lodge won't be open for the season until March 23, but that gives you enough time to plan and save up to stay at least one night at this unique spot.
When: Opens for season March 23
Why You Need To Go: This lodge is only accessible by hike and will give you the best views of the Smokies.
