Lost Mine Trail in Big Bend is a trail that many flock to for the most extravagant views of the national park. 

The trail is 4.7 miles, making it a bit of a hike but not too difficult for inexperienced hikers. You hike up 1300 feet in elevation to eventually get to the most incredible views.

On misty or cloudy days where the clouds hang low to the Earth, you will be able to stand at an elevation higher than them. It's like you're actually floating in the sky.

To find the Lost Mine Trail, you will park at a small parking lot near the rim of Panther Pass. The trail is a bit more popular than some others in the park, so you might want to arrive early to guarantee parking.
