Ask any Texan and they'll say they look forward to the fall season every year. Aside from the obvious stuff, we get a change in scenery and a change in the weather after several long, hot months. A nature center and farm combo is a short drive from San Antonio and the perfect location for an easy, scenic hike, which we highly recommend doing now that fall is finally here.
Cibolo Nature Center and Farm is in the perfect location, not too far from and not too close to a big city. San Antonio residents will have to make a short drive, and even for those in Austin, it's not too bad either. The nature center added "farm" to its name just a few years back, and due to the number of animals roaming around, we don't blame them. To those who'd like to stick to gazing at nature, you're in for a real treat.
Pools of water and leaves changing color are just a couple of things you'll run into on your hike. You may have seen an Instagram model or two geotag themselves here, and for good reason. The natural backdrops make for incredible photos and just an overall good time. A stroll here with your boo or even your best friend will bring you both some much-needed relaxation.
The park and trails are open year-round from 8:00 a.m. until dusk, and their visitor center is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. If you find yourself in Cibolo soon, you'll have all day to explore this paradise.
