If you're in the mood to go chasing waterfalls, we've found the perfect spot. This easy trek is easily one of the best hikes in Washington in our book. You'll get to spend time on a  gorgeous lookout point above pouring 200-foot falls.

We haven't even gotten to the best part yet. Palouse Falls is one of the last waterfalls in the state from the Ice Age.

Who's down to take a trip back in time?

At more than 13,000 years old, this natural wonder is a traveler's (and history buff's) dream.

To get to the falls, you'll need to take a 1.2-mile loop trail from the small town of Washtucna. It can be a little tricky to find, so make sure to follow the full directions.

The best time to come is in the early morning during early spring and summer when the temperatures are warm. Your dog can even come and take in the views with you, as long as it's kept on a leash.

If we didn't already know, we'd swear Palouse Falls was pulled from a travel book of Iceland.

This PNW gem reminds you how beautiful the falls can be when they're left alone with nature.

All along the trail, you'll be rewarded with the sight of Douglas fir trees, the fresh smell of pine, and the soft sound of the falls in the distance.

When you get there, the views will take your breath away.

At the top, you can take in the sights of the surrounding gorge, carved by glaciers thousands of years ago.

If you're lucky, you might even see a giant rainbow over the water. It happens more often than you'd think.

Pro Tip: Pack a picnic and spend a while at the top. It's not every day you'll see views like these.

Even though the hike is only a mile, you've earned it. *winks*
