While Puget Sounders add everything from mountains to forests to their never-gets-old lists, there's a precious little town in the heart of the state's snowy peaks that's a top contender. The Christmas town of Leavenworth in Washington is not just lit up for the holidays, but it also turns into a massive activity-palooza.

Nestled in the lap of the Cascade Mountains, this quaint Bavarian town is right out of a Lifetime or Hallmark movie.

If you want to feel like the star (that you are), you need to check out their free "Christmas Lighting Festival" from December 20 to 22 where they turn on over half a million lights!

The magic only gets better as the German village hosts a Christmas bazaar where you can pick up one-of-a-kind souvenirs, sip your way through with wine tastings, stop by a traditional Gluhwein tent selling hot spiced wine and cocoa, and jive to cheery live music.

You're in luck if it snows because the Front Street Park will allow you to go tubing and sledding too.

Oh, the 'cuddle' is real, because the temperatures can turn frosty. Although you'll be strolling through the streets hand-in-hand with your SO, make sure you're also packed in your most stylish and snuggest outfit.

There's plenty you can do when you visit this lit town.

Love nutcrackers? You can visit a museum housing one of the largest collections. With over 6,000 of them, you're sure to stumble across some that look like Stormtrooper, Garfield or Snoopy.

Stop by The Bavarian Bakery to warm up with some hot cocoa and for giant pretzels.

They even have a real Christmas tree decorated with the soft and salty treats.

The neighboring Gingerbread Factory has the cutest gingerbread people and houses. The food is so pretty, you'll not want to eat it.

Hit The Hatshop for eccentric headgear, The Cheesemonger's Shop if cheese is bae or stop by Studio 1890 Old Time Photos if you want fun portraits in themed-costumes.

You can also warm up by real fire pits built into tables at the Munchen Haus or Rhein Haus as you enjoy the night.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides are a staple here, so ride into the night with your boo through the twinkling streets and the dramatic backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

There's even a reindeer farm that allows you to cuddle Santa's helpers.

Do you believe in magic? We're sure you will at this spot.

If you can't get enough of Christmas, you should also check out these other Washington towns that get all decked out for the holidays.
