Ever wanted to be in a place where time would slow down, so you could enjoy the nature around you and the company with you? We've found just the spot. These romantic waterfront cabins in Washington state will not only let you wake up to amazing views of the Hood Canal, but they all come with their own oyster beach. We can't think of a better way to start summer!
Mike's Beach Resort is bordered on one side by the Olympic National Forest and on the other by the therapeutic waters of Hood Canal, making it the perfect Pacific Northwest getaway.
These accommodations are a mix of German chalets and rustic Evergreen State-style cabins and can be rent year-round.
The coastal cabins will cost you anywhere from $110 per night to $150.
They come with a queen-sized bed, kitchenette, fireplace, jacuzzi, propane heating, charcoal BBQs, and gigantic windows to take in views of the unique landscape during your stay.
If you have a bigger group of six people, you can opt for a family room for $145 a night. There's even a deck to enjoy your meals outside.
Built in 1951, the resort has other accommodations like waterfront glamps or an RV trailer (it has a hot tub on the deck) that sits by the water too.
If you're here to take in the scenery, you can also rent out a spot for your own RV or tent for as little as $35.
While we understand if you'd never want to leave your picture-perfect rooms, there's so much you can do while here.
This place is also a scuba diving destination.
So you'll see plenty of people plunging into the cold waters to seek out some giant octopuses, colorful sponges, rockfishes, and other underwater treasures.
The dive site is free for guests, and they also have scuba air fills and a gear drying room that you can access during your stay.
And the best part? They have a private u-pick shellfish beach where you can harvest your own clams and oysters!
You can grill them up outside your cabins while the sun sets over the Olympic Mountains.
Sounds perfect? Because it is.
