Spring is on its way, even though it definitely hasn't felt like it here in Canada lately. In just several short weeks the snow will be completely gone, the sun will be shining, and the flowers will be blooming! Seems almost impossible right?
Now is the perfect time to start planning your adventures for when we all come out of hibernation again and your first stop should be a relaxing glamp site. Weekend getaways are the best ways to spend the warmer months of the year because you get to explore tons of great spots that don't require a plane ride to get to. The epitome of a luxurious glamp site is Firelight Camps which is located just across the border in Ithaca, New York!
Firelight Camps take your regular camping to a whole new level with their comfortable and stylish camping experience. Their platform tents are furnished with hardwood floors, a king or queen sized bed in each tent, plush linens, and safari-style furniture. Each tent has it's own private balcony so you can wake up in the morning at your leisure, enjoy a warm cup of coffee and a complimentary breakfast delivered to your tent door with a stunning view of the forest!
When you've fully enjoyed the morning sunrise and breakfast you can experience the stunning grounds by taking a hike through the nearby trails of Buttermilk Falls State Park, read a book in one of the hammocks on the forest's edge, or treat yourself to a massage or other spa treatment at the August Moon Spa on site!
Reservations are officially open for May 11th until November 4th when the weather is going to be perfect! For bookings during the week from Sunday-Thursday, each tent costs $189/night and during the weekends on Friday & Saturday, each tent costs $289/night. Tents are made for 2 people but can fit more if needed for an additional $35 for each adult and $25 for kids under 12.
Your stay will include complimentary breakfast, campfires tended to in the morning and evenings, access to all the hiking trails nearby, bocce ball and other games on site, bathhouse with hot showers, toilets and bath products, electric heaters, lamps and other comforts for the tents.
They have a camp store on site that sells snacks and souvenirs throughout the day. They have 2 restaurants on site as well that serves lunch and dinner to their guests or they can recommend local eateries nearby. At dinner, they offer complimentary tastings at the bar and s'mores for dessert!
