Big Talbot Island State Park is one of the best places for beach photography.
If you are looking for your next photo shoot backdrop, there is a place in Florida with the perfect scenery. Big Talbot Island State Park is one of the best places for beach photography or simply to up your game on your Insta-feed.
This magical island is located near Jacksonville and offers different hiking trails such as Blackrock Trail and Big Pine Trail. But you'll want to take a stroll to Boneyard Beach. This is where you'll want your next photo shoot session. The beach is famous for its salt-washed skeletons of live oak and cedar trees that once grew near the shore.
Now the place looks like a real scene from the movie "Annihilation" where the trees are dead with no leaves. But this place also offers more than just a pretty panoramic view. You can book a kayak tour or launch a boat from the north end of the island. You can also bring your bike and explore the 2.9-mile off-road paved multi-use Timucuan Trail that runs parallel to A1A.
The park is open daily from 8 am until sundown. It's not unusual to see lots of people climbing the woods and taking pictures.
This island also offers a great location for bird watching and nature study among its seven parks. The parks included in this island are Pumpkin Heel, Amelia Island State Park, Little Talbot Island State Park, Fort George Island, Yellow Bluff Fort Historic State Park, and George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State Park.
If you're planning to fish at the island the fees are $2 per fishing pier. Entry to the island is free.
