Florida Is Hosting An Adorable "Puppy Parade"
Clear you calendar for the cutest event of the year.
No need to wait for Halloween to have an excuse to dress up your pooch and tout them around. The 2019 Largo Paw Parade has been scheduled for February 28 from 2-4 pm and will include tons of entertainment for pets and pet parents alike - and yes, dressing your fur baby up is totally encouraged.
Oak Manor Senior Living Community is partnering with the Humane Society of Pinellas County to host the Paw Parade, which will feature pet apparel, adoptable furry friends, plenty of treats and refreshments, contests, prizes, and possibly the best part: dog-friendly ice cream.
The St. Petersburg based company "That Dog Ice Cream" will be at the event giving out tasty samples to your pup. According to the information on their website, their ice cream is all natural, dairy, grain, and gluten-free - a perfect treat for any dogs and puppies at the party with a sensitive stomach.
Additionally, there will be a prize for the "best dressed" pooch. Thankfully you have just over a month to get your dog's winning outfit together.
The humane society is asking anyone interested in donating to do so at the event or check their donation page on their website for items that can be donated prior to the event. Their wishlist is here, and includes everyday needs like pet food, beds, treats, toys, and medical supplies, and they even accept large donations such as washers and dryers, refrigerators, computers, and office equipment.
The event is free but it is asked that if you plan on attending you RSVP by February 26 by calling 727-608-2618. More information is available on the humane society's page here.
