It's that really fun time of the year when all the fairs and festivals start coming back to town - and the Florida State Fair is kicking it all off. From chowing down on some delicious fair food to riding all of the rides, whether you are an annual attendee or this is your first year going, you will not be disappointed with everything the Florida State Fair has to offer this year.
From February 7 to the 18th the fair will be taking over the Tampa fairgrounds located at 4800 US Hwy. 301 North with more entertainment and foods than ever before. There will be shows, competitions, new vendors and concessions, fair exhibits, a petting zoo, rides, and basically everything you could ever want and expect from the ultimate-fair experience.
Admittedly this is one of the biggest annual events for the Tampa area. It has been taking place at this location since 1977 and never fails to draw in a crowd of hundreds of thousands each year. With the growing list of entertainment and vendors, it is no wonder that people travel from all over the globe just to come to this fair.
Here is the official 2019 Flordia State Fair commercial:
What you can expect during the 12 days of family fun this year are live concerts, animal and equestrian shows, creative living competitions (baking, farming, crafting, etc), history museums, art exhibits, local wines, new food vendors, and our personal favorite - the original Batcopter.
Yeah, you read that right. You can take a ride in N3079G, the original Batcopter from the Batman TV series and the original Batman movie!
Some other things you won't want to miss include: the Paw Palace exhibit which features purebred dogs, an opportunity to learn about all the different breeds, and see hourly demonstrations on agility, breed parades and more, the new cookie dough vendor The Happy Dough, the Budweiser Clydesdales, Giraffic Exotic Menagerie Petting Zoo, and the magic shows - to name a few things.
