Your spring getaway adventures should include a trip to this amazing forest. Little Big Econ State Forest has 17 miles of scenic views and one of the longest rivers in Florida.

This oasis of wild nature and unreal views is home to wildlife such as alligator, gopher tortoise, turkey, bald eagle, deer and more. But you need to spend a day in the forest to enjoy the real Florida nature. The forest offers visitors recreation such as hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, bicycling, wildlife viewing and picnicking. Seasonal hunting is also available on sections of the forest east of Snow Hill Road.

Outdoorsy activities include a 16.3-mile hiking trail, a paddling trail on the Econlockhatchee River, bicycle trail, camping, horse trail, hunting, fishing, and even birdwatching. The river is very long and it has over 18 miles of paddling scenic views.

The forest has a Kolokee Trail which consists of a 5.2-mile loop trail which is the perfect first step for beginners.

No matter which turns you take during your exploration around Econ State Park, every corner and background has a great view for your Instafeed. You can also walk the boardwalk near the pavilion and launch your canoe to the river.
