Welcome the beginning of spring in full color. Holi Color Fest is landing in Tampa this spring season to bring happiness and color into your life.
Holi Color Fest will be held on Saturday, March 24th at the Florida State Fairgrounds from 11 am to 4 pm. It is recommended you wear light color clothing and bring your own picnic mat, sunscreen, colorful umbrellas, and sunglasses to protect your eyes from the color powder that will be thrown all around. Holi festival is celebrated all around the world but what makes this event epic is the people.
Parking will cost $8 per car and members of the Gujarati Samaj of Tampa Bay get free entrance. Non-members will have to pay $20 at the door and students under 17 pay $15.
You can purchase all natural colors at the event. Permanent and oil-based colors are not permitted at this festival. After all, you do not want to look like the Grinch all year long.
This event signifies the victory of good over evil, and the arrival of spring. This festival is also known as the 'Festival of Love' because is a day to forgive, forget, and repair broken relationships.
