Flordia's strawberry season may be on it's way out, but blueberries are still going strong. The 12th annual Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival starting this weekend and it's a must-see for any berry lover.
According to the official event page, Keel and Curley Winery and Keel Farms celebrate the Spring Blueberry Harvest with 2 weekends at the farm - and it's fun for the whole family. This year the event will be hosted April 6-7 and the following weekend, 13-14. The festival will be open 8am to 6pm each of the four days.
This is no small event - the blueberry fest will be bringing over 100 food and craft vendors, live entertainment, a kids farm zone, u-pick blueberries, and a wine tasting school ($10 per person, must be 21 or older to participate).
Admission to the festival is free and parking is just $10 per vehicle. The event is also pet-friendly, so you can totally bring Fido along for an evening of berry picking fun with the entire family!
U-Pick berries will be offered each day from 8-4pm at $6 per pound if paid with cash or $6.50 if paid with card. You can also purchase preharvested and already packaged berries if pickin' isn't your thing.
There will be plenty of desserts and foods that are berry-infused so be sure to come hungry to take advantage of all the event has to offer!
