Gone are the days when you have travel halfway across the world just to go on a safari - and while there are several "safaris" in the state of Florida, Giraffe Ranch in east Pasco County definitely gives you an experience unlike anywhere else.

The ranch is located on 47 rolling acres adjoining Florida's second largest wilderness area, the Green Swamp, and is home to both exotic and domestic animals from Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. As an added bonus, the ranch doubles as a wildlife preserve for much of the local wildlife.

You can choose to experience the safari in several different ways: camelback, segway, or on the safari tour bus. There is also a llama trek option where your llama will carry your things! During your tour, you will be able to feed a giraffe, pet a camel, and get right up to rhino and pygmy hippo. You can add additional experiences to your trip including lemur, otter, and bongo feedings, a camel mini-safari and a rhino encounter.
