7 Boston Bartenders Who Are Dominating The Bar Scene
Bartending isn't an easy task. Fun. But not easy. Long hours spent on your feet, constantly having to make conversation with (sometimes rude) customers and always being ahead of the trend in the world of cocktails - bartending is a job meant for the talented few.
Just take a look in some of Boston's hottest bars and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. These creative geniuses artfully concoct some of the most amazing beverages you'll ever taste - and this praiseworthy talent does not go unnoticed. Deservingly so. Here are seven of Boston's bartenders who are absolutely blowing up the bar scene.
Referred to as Boston's mad scientist mixologist, Todd has got one of the most innovative approaches to cocktails the city has ever seen. His bar program at Cafe ArtScience didn't earn a coveted James Beard nomination for nothing.
He was crowned Bombay Sapphire's Most Imaginative Bartender, this year, warranting him a spot on the cover of GQ's Men of the Year issue. Talk about #killing it. If you can, try out his award winning drink, Breakfast in Bombay - it's actually insane.
If you're at all involved in the restaurant/bar industry in Boston, you've definitely heard of Tenzin Samdo. Landing a spot on Thrillist's list of America's Greatest Bartenders of 2015, guest speaking at the 2017 Nightclub & Bar Convention in Las Vegas, and making multiple appearances in the media - you could probably consider Tenzin to be a local celeb.
Nicole Lebedevitch // Yvonne's
You may recognize her from The Eastern Standard or Hawthorne, but Nicole is now making her presence known at Yvonne's. Thrillist has called her Boston's first lady of booze, and I think the title suits her perfectly. If you find yourself at Yvonne's, try out the Josephine Baker, it's one of Nicole's faves.
She's the general manager of one of the coolest cocktail bars in Boston which makes her, well, one of the coolest people in Boston. Last year Ezra was recognized as a StarChefs Rising Star and was also named one of Food and Wine’s “Best New Mixologists." Not bad.

Nicole Hirtle // Storyville and Down
This babe of a bartender was awarded best female bartender for Boston's 2016 Nightlife Awards, deserving her a spot on this list. Back in 2008 she was featured on the cover of Barstool Sports Magazine's "Boston's 25 Sexiest Bartenders" and now you can find her in the 2017 Dirty Water Dolls calendar.
A few years ago, Jared showed face in Zagat’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2014; a wonderful start to his blossoming career. This MIT grad is now the bar manager at The Hawthorne, one of Boston's best cocktail bars.
