No need to be bored when there's so much to do.

Bored in Baltimore? There's no such thing - at least, there's no excuse for it. Even when your friends are all busy and you're alone, there are a ton of great things for you to do to pass the time.

From working on your physique to treating yourself to a much-needed chill day, you will never need to be bored again because of your friend's busy schedules. Plus, they'll be jealous you're having so much fun without them. It's a win/win situation and you can thank me later - for now, get out there and have a blast partying solo.

The city has seen its share of businesses and residents come and go over the years, making it the perfect place to do some urban exploration. Just by casually walking along the sidewalks you will pass a few unfortunate buildings that have been left to rot, which probably get more attention now than they ever had. Of course, you don't have to just visit the abandoned areas - Baltimore is full of lively urban areas just waiting for you to explore them too.

Self-guide yourself on the ultimate Edgar Allan Poe site seeing tour

Where: multiple locations

@rosemilklatteembedded via

Baltimore is a city with rich history, made especially notable by one resident in particular, 18th-century macabre poet Edgar Allan Poe. It's no secret that the struggling alcoholic writer lived out the rest of his tragic life right here in Baltimore - forever to be immortalized by placards throughout the city.

You can visit the home he once lived in, his grave, the site of his death, oh, and you won't want to forget to grab a drink at the bar that claims to have served him his final drink. Heck, there's even a street named after him.

Check out the Curtis Creek Ship Graveyard

Where: 6100 Chemical Road

@historicshipsinbaltimoreembedded via

In Baltimore, there is a place where ships go to die, the Curtis Creek Ship Graveyard. Many of the ships are from WW1 and never used for their purpose - only left to slowly decay in the marina. The best way to see them is to paddle out in a kayak past the industrial ships or from atop the I-695 bridge.
