Austin Is Hosting A Massive Taco Festival This Month
The National Taco Championships is happening in Austin this March.
Calling all taco lovers! The biggest taco festival and competition in Austin is almost here! The National Taco Championships massive taco festival is making a stop in Austin on March 30th for a day full of delicious food, live music and tons of tequila. There are over 35 different taco vendors registered to attend the event, so you definitely won't want to miss it.
The 2019 National Taco Championships will be an insane event featuring Austin's favorite tacos, bands, and bars. The 35+ competing taco vendors will be some of the best local restaurants and food trucks that are widely known for their amazing tacos. Be prepared to fill up on a crazy amount of $3 tacos!
Popular vendors at the fest are to include Austin favorites such as Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Cyclone Anaya's, Holy Taco and Z Tejas Arboretum. And of course, the legendary Austin based taco spot Torchy's will also be serving up their incredible tacos for their guests.
There will be plenty of specialty margaritas and beer on site for festival goers to pair with their mouth-watering tacos. The fest will include a boutique Tequila Expo that will serve over 100 top-shelf brands! And plenty of vendors will be mixing up their own signature iconic frozen margs and ice cold beers.
Get in the TexMex spirit with a full line up of local DJ beats, insane Lucha Libre Mexican wrestlers, an adorable Chihuahua beauty pageant and more! There will also be a serious hot chili pepper eating competition that you can sign up for on their website.
Tickets for the massive taco festival are currently on sale on the National Taco Championship website. General admission is $20 per adult, and kids 12 and under are free. VIP Experience tickets are on sale for $120 per adult, which will include access to premium lounges, bars, and free drinks and catered food.
