The Angelika Film Center is known for having events like this one and its one of the few theaters in Dallas where you can still dress like your favorite characters.
The film center opened in 2001 and quickly stood out from the other theaters in Dallas. With only eight screens the center was designed to be a hub for specialty films and independent features. They do carry some of blockbusters bigger movies but for the most part, they get pushed aside in favor of events such as this one.
In previous years the film center has also showcased 80s classics as well as ballets and Oscar-winning titles. Its rise in popularity has partly been due to the in cafe that lives in the corner of the theater and the wide selection of wines and beer.
At the cafe, you can find treats such as gourmet muffins and cupcakes. Drinks at the cafe can be anything from a fresh cappuccino to hot tea. Breadwinners also have sandwiches at the center for those who want a full meal.
