Houston Is Getting The Most Instagrammable Donuts This Summer
Voodoo Doughnut will soon open their second Texas location in Houston.
If you're like us, you know that donuts are a very important part of an everyday breakfast. Donuts are normally just super delicious to eat but now get excited because Voodoo Doughnut is bringing the most Instagram worthy donuts to Houston this summer.
Voodoo Doughnut started in Portland and are known for their unique designs and flavors. Some of their more famous donuts include names like Dirt, which is a donut with vanilla frosting and Oreo cookies, Grape Ape, vanilla frosting with grape dust and lavender sprinkles and Bacon Maple Bar, maple frosting and bacon on top.
Aside from delicious flavors they also have treats that honor their name. Some of these include the Voodoo Doll and yes it does look like a voodoo doll but we can't guarantee anything will happen if you stick pins into it. Diablos Rex is another one of these treats that had chocolate frosting and a pentagon to top it off.
The Houston location will be at 3715 Washington Ave. It will also be the first Voodoo Doughnut location to have a drive-through.
This location much like the others will be open 24/7 for all your donut needs. Donuts range from 95 cents to $22 depending on the type and amount.
According to its website, the shop was opened to honor the original spelling "doughnut" and progressed from there.
It is not known if co-founder Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson will be at the opening of the Houston location but we can tell you they are very excited to get their signature pink boxes out there.
