Whatever plans you have for this spring or summer, you have to make wine roadtripping in BC one of them. There are so many incredible wines produced right here in our beautiful British Columbia! We've got incredible climate and superbly rich soil that breeds some of the best grapes, so why not go straight to the source and try them there?

The wineries are all relatively close to each other, so it's easy to plan your own road trip. Or, you can even hop on the OK Wine Shuttle that will take you around the many wineries so you don't have to worry about who's going to be DD.
Heads up! If you like the wine, BUY IT! Don't wait until you get back into the city to pick it up at a BC Liquor Store because there will definitely be a significant mark up. Trust me, you'll thank yourself later.

Quail's Gate // Kelowna

Located on the north side of Lake Okanagan, Quail's Gate Winery has a breathtaking view of their vineyards as well as the lake from their restaurant patio, and visitors swear by their restaurant chef. For all the chocolate lovers out there, from June to September, they will be hosting a Chocolate and Wine Tasting Tour where they'll offer the delicious pairings of vino and chocolat.
Okanagan Crush Pad // Summerland

Okanagan Crush Pad is home to three different labels of wine that you might be familiar with; Haywire, Narrative, and Coolshanagh. This hip modern winery, built in beautiful Summerland, has received many awards and accolades for their supreme wines and innovative wine making processes. You absolutely have to try their sparkling wines.
Little Straw // West Kelowna
Time: 4 hrs
A family owned winery established in 1996, Little Straw Vineyards is known for being the only producer of Auxerrios Icewine in Canada. Their wine tasting is by donation, so you can enjoy a nice glass of vino and help a good cause as well! While there, you have to try their "Tapestry" white blend, as it is their most popular selection and loved by locals.
Silver Sage // Oliver

Located in the Golden Mile region, known for its fertile soil and warm microclimate, Silver Sage is a breathtaking winery you won't believe even exists in BC. With an unbelievable garden terrace and wine full of taste and character, you won't leave here empty handed. You have to try their sage infused wine and chilli pepper ice wine!
See Ya Later Ranch // Okanagan Falls

A little bit of a trek to get to this winery, but it is so worth the trip. The views are impeccable and the wine is to die for. A five sample tasting is only $2 and with this kind of view on the patio, you just can't beat it.
House of Rose // Kelowna

House of Rose is definitely a winery with that laid back, old school charm. No need to pretend like you're a wine connoisseur here. This is the place to kick off your shoes and stomp around in some soon-to-be vinos. They even have an adorable outdoor picnic set up going on, so you and your BFFs can soak up the sun and sip up your samples.
Inniskillin/Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery // Oliver

You've definitely tried either an Inniskillin Icewine or a Jackson Triggs Cab Sav at some point in your life. Now you can truly immerse yourself in the full tasting experience of these two quality wine brands in the Okanagan. You can do a private tasting in the middle of a 410 acre vineyard or on their patio that overlooks the Okanagan beauty.
La Stella Winery // Osoyoos

The wine tasting can be bit pricey, $10 tasting fee, but for a winery that transports you to Italy, $10 is pretty well worth it. With a stunning view of Osoyoos Lake and a gorgeous patio to enjoy it on, La Stella Winery is definitely the place for a perfect weekend drink-away. Their La Stellina Rosato is a must try!
Burrowing Owl // Oliver

Poolside wine sippin'. It doesn't get any better than that. Burrowing Owl's gorgeous views and their 25 metre outdoor pool at their Guest House surrounded by a sun deck is the winery of your dreams. Of course, accompanied by great wine, you can't not go.
Road 13 Vineyards // Oliver

A winery that looks like it might as well be straight from a storybook, Road 13 Vineyards is literally a castle on a hill among the beautiful grape fields. Famous for their Sparkling Chenin Blanc and their Syrah Malbec, you definitely cannot leave this gorgeous spot without buying a couple of bottles!
Tantalus Vineyards // Kelowna

Previously known as "Pioneer Vineyards", Tantalus is one of the oldest producing vineyards in BC. The space is, however, beautifully modern and chic. The wine is superb, especially the Tantalus Old Vines Riesling and the Riesling Icewine (aka. "liquid gold"), and their views are unbelievable.
