11 Vancouver Girl Bosses To Start Following On Instagram ASAP

Vancouver is home to some amazing women who are killing the game right now. Whether it be in the fashion industry, as entrepreneurs or just simply making a name for themselves - they make Vancouver proud.

These women have broken barriers and glass ceilings and have proven that anything men can do, women can do BETTER. 

Without a doubt, we have some fantastic talent in the city and here are just 11 of those badass ladies.

1. Alexis Assoignon and Kachen Hong // @lessublimes 

Alexis and her business partner Kachen recently launched an eco-friendly luxurious fashion line in Paris. They met in university and both quit their jobs to travel. They decided to improve the fashion industry by creating an ethical and affordable fashion line that is also fabulous. Talk about bosses.

2. Christie Lohr // @christie_lohr

Lohr is the founder of Style Nine to Five, a fashion board in Canada which includes Hudson's Bay, Topshop, Nordstrom and many other notables. She was formerly a fashion expert on CTV, but continues to be a true style insider.

3. Lauren and Mariel Armstrong // @partyskirts

Lauren and Mariel are two sisters behind the Party skirts line, which has become an international phenomenon. They co-founded SKIT where they received an amazing response from their own hand-made Party skirts which they were designing for themselves. From there they created a business, SKOT Apparel and the craze began.

4. Fiona Morrison // @wolf_circus

Fiona Morrison is a true badass, she does what she wants and does it completely unapologetically. She is the founder and designer of Wolf Circus, a line that is meant for true badasses, aka. women who are bold and brainy. A true artist and all around BOSS.

5. Breanna Musgrove // @scout_catalogue 

Breanna Musgrove is the legend behind Scout & Catalogue, a handbag and accessories line inspired by her travels. She's created something unique and different with pieces that most women do not have but would very much WANT.

6. Jillian Harris // @jillian.harris

Former Bachelorette, Jillian Harris, who is now a host on Love it or List it Vancouver. She also has a new show coming up with her fiancé titled Jillian and Justin. Not only is she a Canadian star, but she is also a mother and all around badass woman. 

7. Susie Wall // @susiewallstyle

Susie wall is the fashion queen and she is also a broadcast journalist, a mother and a designer - the list is endless. She's been named one of Canada's 50 best dressed and is a brand ambassador for Nordstrom, just recently launching her own Sunglass line. She really does it all.

8. Melissa Orozco // @melissaorozco 

One of Canada's Top 30 Under 30, Melissa is the founder and Creative director of Yulu PR, one of Canada's top PR agencies. She's an award-winning social entrepreneur that has worked with clients including Perrier water and The New York Times.

T9. Carine Redmond // @carineredmond 

Award-winning publicist, this boss babe has quite the resume. Working with notable brands like Etsy, 49th and Parallel as well as in the past working with the Tyra Banks show, she has done it all. 

10. Janice Joostema // @janicejoostemaa

With over a million instagram followers, making 6 figures at the age of 21, this boss lady is making Vancouver proud. A model paired with many brands who travels all over the world meeting big names like Kim Kardashian, she has become a business.

11. Gina Shkeda // @ginashkeda

Vancouver makeup guru working with some of the top brands in the industry and names like Gigi Hadid and Maybelline. She is definitely killing the game right now and it's only getting bigger from here with Shkeda pairing up with other big brand corporations.
