There is a reason Vancouver's unofficial name is Hollywood North, and it is not because how superficial we can be. It's cheaper to shoot in Canada, not just in Vancouver, and the Greater Vancouver Area can pass for so many different locations in the United States.

You can pretend you're in SoHo, Manhattan in Gastown and drive for an hour and pretend you are in No-One-Cares, Kansas. Isn't that neat? So our town is frequented by so many movie stars who realize that there is a place in North America where they can take a break from the paparazzi and intense fans.
