8 Aurora Winter Festival Vancouver Bucket-List Things To Do, See & Eat

Vancouver is about to get a whole lot more festive. Aurora Winter Festival Vancouver 2019 kicks off Friday, November 22 at the PNE and we cannot wait to step into the magical winter wonderland. There are endless amounts of activities, treats, vendors, and attractions to keep you busy all night long and we just know you'll be coming back for more.

Tickets start at $17.99 and ride tickets cost $3 each. The festival runs from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, January 5, 2020.

This year’s event will be nearly four times larger than last year and they’re even referring to it as Canada’s largest winter festival.

The festival is made up of four Mystical Worlds including the Land of Giants, Polar Passage, Luminous Gardens, and Whimsical Forest. Each world has a unique charm and everything you come across will be as festive as can be. If you’re not in the Christmas spirit yet, this festival will transport you there in an instant.

Because it can all be a little overwhelming, we've rounded up a list of bucket list things to do, see, and eat at the Vancouver Aurora Winter Festival.

Round up your friends and head to the PNE grounds for an unforgettable, Christmas-themed evening.

Slide Right Into Christmas at the Tube Park

The massive 200-foot inner tube slide is back for another year and the fun of the ride makes the climb to the top totally worth it. Check out a beautiful view of the entire festival while you rip down the track.

Eat All the Sweet Treats

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re in luck. The food vendors are stacked with mouth-watering treats for you to eat. From Cartems Donuts to Cannoli King, The Praguery chimney cakes to Beavertails, you won’t be leaving hungry.

Lace-Up Your Skates for Some Laps of the Skating Pond

You’ll find the Tim Hortons Skating Pond right in the middle of the festival. Skate around beautiful light installations and listen to Christmas music for a full serving of Christmas spirit. Bring your own skates or rent a pair for $6.

Ride the Illuminated Ferris Wheel

Hopping on this stunning ride will give you aerial views of the entire festival. If you're not big on adrenaline, a ferris wheel is the perfect low-impact, high-enjoyment ride for you.

Shop Unique Gift Ideas at the Marketplace

If you still need to get some Christmas shopping done, this is the perfect place to do it. From art and household products to clothing and accessories, you’ll find whatever it is you’re looking for and more.

Wader Through the Luminous Gardens

Is it even Christmas if you don't get a photo in a glorious twinkling light tunnel? The Luminous Gardens are filled with beautifully decorated willow trees, kissing swans, and so much more.

Get Your Dance on in the Disco Dome

If you venture into the Land of Giants, you’ll find tons of giant animal sculptures along with the epic Disco Dome. There will be a live DJ, an LED dance floor, and a lounge and bar.
