Between your social life and your fitness life (not to mention your foodie life, Vancouver) no one wants to be stuck in a punch in punch out scenario.

Millenials are insanely resourceful and since you're not a full-blown pop star *yet* use this list to help you earn some extra casheesh until then.

1. Be in a study at UBC.

Let the university that took away so much of your money for 4 years pay you back. Click here to find a list of current studies being held at UBC and based on your eligibility you can earn money just for being observed, filling out questionnaires, or monitoring your brain activity when completing simple tasks. Carpool, anyone?

2. Be an extra in a TV show.

Because of Vancouver's tax break a ton of TV shows, movies, and commercials get filmed in the city. Being an extra requires you to do what you do best: look pretty, socialize, and eat from the craft services table.

Go to BCF Casting and let the lights, camera, and ??? begin.

3. Be a busker on Robson.

"Come on and do it." Don't tell me you've never imagined being a member of The Spice Girls or that you don't absolutely slay it at karaoke with your gal pals. Regardless, you've given those pipes a chance to shine before so why not make some cash off it? Throw down that retired beach hat and call up that one friend who can carry a tune. At the very least you'll make back the money you spent on parking.

4. Pick berries at an Abbotsford farm.

August is berry season and the amount of U-Picks available in farm country is insane. Head out to farm country and help the owners pick berries with your friends in the sun! Another option is to pick your crop, buy them at the farm, and sell your pickings at a local farmer's market in the city!

5. Roll weed at a dispensary.

You're doing it anyway, might as well get paid for it. "Budtenders" are always wanted in Canada's most weed-positive province.

6. Get artsy

Are you secretly an artist? Do you have any DIY's you've been dying to try? Surely you've made jewelry once or twice in your life. Well, brush up on those skills because the summer will be here before you know it and you can become a local vendor at Trail 6 on Wreck Beach!

7. Be a DD

Capitalize on Vancouver's Uber ban and become your friends' personal DD. You can charge half the amount a cab does and still hit that early morning yoga class because you won't be hungover AF like all your friends ✌️️✨

8. Be a secret shopper

Combining your two favourite hobbies: shopping and judging people. Pacific Centre is among 22 other malls across Metro Vancouver looking for secret shoppers to evaluate the quality of service, quality of the product, and overall experience. Perks of the job are free meals, free merch, free service, free entertainment, and up to $28/hr! Sign up and get your opinions heard here.
