Riverview Hospital // 2601 Lougheed Hwy, Coquitlam
This is an abandoned mental asylum that is believed to be haunted, so it makes sense that the teen thriller drama would be filming at this creepy place. This spot doubles as the Sister's Quiet Mercy: Home for Troubled Youths in the Riverdale world.
They were spotted filming there just today,on September 19! The cast and crew were also filming there at the end of July, so you'll see it again in season three. This abandoned hospital is a popular filming choice for thrillers and has also appeared in movies and shows such as The X-Files and Supernatural.
Vancouver Art Gallery // 750 Hornby St, Vancouver
The Riverdale cast and crew were spotted filming inside the Vancouver Art Gallery in downtown, so keep your eyes out for a special appearance of the VAG in season three. It also appeared in Riverdale season two.
It was at the Vancouver Art Gallery where the viral video of Cole Sprouse confronting a busker that was delaying shooting. According to this tweet by @YVRshoots, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes were seen filming there.
Rocko's Family Diner // 32786 Lougheed Hwy, Mission
This Vancouver diner doubles as the iconic, all-American Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe diner in Riverdale. The diner is called Rocko's Family Diner and is located in Mission, BC. It is open for business, so you can visit it and recreate your fave shots from the show – which fans frequently do already.
Former Youth Detention Centre // Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby
The show was spotted filming at the Former Youth Correctional Facility back in July and again last month in August. The centre is located in Burnaby, across from the BCIT campus.
