It looks like spring has sprung in Vancouver! Say goodbye to the winter storms and below freezing temperatures, we are on to warmer pastures. With these recent above zero temperatures, the birds have been singing, people have been gathering in the streets, and some familiar flowers of spring have been blooming. That’s right, some cherry blossoms have already begun blooming around parts Vancouver. But don't take our word for it, go out and see them for yourself.

A couple of weeks ago, The Weather Channel predicted we would have an early spring and I guess they were right! With plus temperatures gracing our city this week, it looks as though we could finally be out of the winter stage. This warm weather isn’t just great for our vitamin D deficiencies, it’s also great for making buds bloom.

The most iconic sign that spring has finally come is the blossoming of those gorgeous pink cherry blossoms. According to Instagram and Reddit, some Vancouver residents have been lucky enough to see the early signs of spring. Right now, many cherry blossoms are blooming in the West End in Vancouver.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the start of cherry blossom season without pictures! Vancouverites have been spreading the blossoming buds all over social media to get us the spring-time mood.

During the spring months, cherry blossoms are everywhere in the city. In fact, there are more than 2,689 locations to view ornamental cherries around Vancouver. That’s a lot of Instagram opportunities. Right now, they've just begun blossoming in parts of the city.

According to the cherry blossom map posted by the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, over 40 locations around Vancouver are currently seeing these trees bloom. Some locations include Richmond, West Vancouver, Surrey, and North Vancouver.

While they may not be everywhere and in full bloom, they are an awesome sign that spring is just around the corner! Goodbye Old Man winter!
