North Vancouver's Brand New JOEY Is Right On The Water & It's Massive (PHOTOS)

We've got one more reason to jump on the Seabus and head over to North Vancouver coming our way soon. The Shipyards are getting a newcomer to the fast-changing neighbourhood with the addition of a brand new JOEY restaurant. The JOEY Shipyards opening date is sooner than you'd think.
On January 23, 2020, the newest location of the west coast restaurant group opened up across the water from Vancouver in Lower Lonsdale.
It has that stunning North Van view of the Vancouver city skyline and it's literally right on the water.
It will also be just steps away from the brand new open-air skating rink. That means your date night plans are totally set.
The new location is massive and has multiple levels. It's going to be 9,500 square feet large and it will have a patio space that's 2,450 square feet.
You'll want to hit up their new giant patio in the near future to catch a sunset because when it goes down behind the city skyline it's one of the most magical sights in Vancouver.
What's on the menu? Each JOEY spot has its own vibe and menu, but expect all your favourites like sushi, ramen and steak and lobster ravioli.
They'll have an impressive drink menu, too so this could be your new place to grab drinks in North Van after a hike.

The new restaurant has an industrial edge to it with a ton of glass and corrugated metal. It fits perfectly with the Shipyards environment.

The newest addition to the waterfront will be a great place to grab a casual dinner but with an interactive atmosphere.
Expect a showcase kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work and a ton of other unique features.

The two-level space opens onto a patio with a retractable roof and fire bowls. That means even if it's one of those rainy cold nights in Vancouver that you can still get to eat outside.
