Vancouver's only mirror exhibit that brings to mind Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrors room just opened a couple of months ago. The year-round space is going to get a fresh look early in 2020. Even if you've been before there will be new opportunities for cute photo backdrops and new places to discover. The Moon and Back gallery refresh is just around the corner and we can't wait to see what's new.
The exhibit is in Richmond almost right next to the Ikea and it's fairly easy to get to even by bus from Vancouver.
Once you're inside, you check-in at the front desk. There's a small seating area where you can get organized but then the exhibit starts right away.
You're pulled into a colourful world and wander through a maze of rooms and hallways that are transformed with everything from neon and string lights to projections and props.
"New installations will change up (the) majority of our rooms," the Moon and Back gallery told Narcity.
"Our main feature will still be infinity rooms but with different installations and themes."
Also slated to stay is the trippy black and white "comic room" that will make you feel like you're inside a newspaper comic strip.
Once you're inside, there's no time limit to how long you can spend inside the exhibit.
However, time is limited to just a few minutes per group inside the infinity mirror rooms.
Aside from the mirror rooms, there are a ton of cute and quirky spaces that will make you feel like an Instagram model if only for a day.
Check out the gallery right now to see all the original rooms, otherwise, they'll seriously change it up early in 2020.
