Listen up because all of your taco and margarita dreams are about to come true just in time for Cinco de Mayo. Tacofino in Vancouver is selling amazing DIY margarita and taco kits and they are literally all you need to celebrate. The kits are perfect for your solo party or roomie get together and either way, you will be partying in style with arguably some of the best tacos in the city.
Tacofino is a cult-favourite in Vancouver. Their classic Mexican cuisine can’t be beaten and just because their doors are closed right now doesn't mean we can’t satisfy our cravings.
In an email sent to Narcity, Tacofino told us that they are making sure everyone can celebrate Cino de Mayo while being stuck at home by offering DIY margarita and taco kits.
All the kits are available on DoorDash and takeout with curbside pickup from the Kitsilano location.
The taco kits sound legendary and are called "Tacofino-To-Go Family Kits."
Included in this mega kit are chips and salsa for the table, flour tortillas, and limes. You can either get the classic carnitas or roasted sweet potato tacos in your kit.
The carnitas tacos with grilled avocado, white onion, queso fresco, and salsa habanero will cost you $46 while the sweet potato kit with spicy grilled asparagus, pinto beans, and vegan chipotle mayo will be $30.
We will give you a minute to let all that deliciousness sink in.
While you’re indulging in your Mexican delicacies you can sit back comfortably knowing that your money is going to a good cause.
According to the email, $2 of each kit will be donated to the Vancouver Food and Beverage Relief Fund to support hourly industry workers in need of short term assistance due to COVID-19.
In addition to the taco kit, there will be a number of cocktail kits for your choosing.
The one that will get you the most bang for your buck is the Classic Lime Margarita Kit. With 16 servings, you will only be paying $95.
It may seem like a lot of money but think of all the drinks you get with it.
You can also get eight servings of Tommy’s Margaritas for $48, eight servings of Verditarita Margarita's for $50, or the Paloma kit which comes with eight servings or $50.
Both the Paloma and Verditarita kits also come with 16 serving options for $75.
All you need to do to order the products is visit DoorDash or the Tacofino website.
Every kit will be available Tuesday, May 5, which is perfect timing with Cino de Mayo.
