There are quite a few cities in Canada that are hot spots for celebrities to hang out while filming movies and TV shows or even just to visit and enjoy some time up north. While Toronto definitely takes the cake for the hottest city on the east coast, Vancouver is an incredibly popular hangout place out west for stars too. They seem to always find the best restaurants and The Christmas Chronicles star Kurt Russell was just spotted at a Vancouver steakhouse this past weekend.
In early December, we got the news that The Christmas Chronicles 2 would be coming to Netflix next year and production on the sequel is currently underway in Vancouver.
Russell will reprise his role as Santa Claus and Goldie Hawn will play his wife with a more prominent role than in the first movie.
In between filming, it seems the A-List celebrity has quite the meaty appetite and he was spotted at Hy's Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar on Hornby Street.
The restaurant posted an Instagram photo of him and wrote, "Must be Santa? We were delighted to welcome Kurt Russell for dinner last night at Hy's Vancouver. Russell is in town to reprise his role as jolly ol’ Saint Nick in Netflix’s Christmas Chronicles 2."
Hy's Steakhouse has a variety of prime steaks and seafood to choose from. But it doesn't come cheap and according to the menu, steaks start at about $50 and a seafood platter will cost you $200.
Also last month, Russell was seen grabbing lunch at Cardero's Restaurant on Coal Harbour Quay.
They posted a photo as well captioning it, "He is our favourite 🎅🏻 Thanks for visiting us! #kurtrussell".
The restaurant has a plentiful variety of seafood dishes that won't break the bank too much, and the two-page menu also features burgers, pasta, pizza, and steaks.
The Christmas Chronicles will continue production until February 1, according to What's Filming.
You'll want to keep your eyes peeled if you live in Vancouver because the cast including Oliver Hudson, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Judah Lewis, and Darby Camp will be in the area too.
