A 28,000-Square-Foot Christmas Store Is Open For The Season In BC & It’s Unbelievable (PHOTOS)

One special fixture of the holidays in B.C. is The Christmas Store at Potters in Surrey, Western Canada's largest Christmas store.
Each year since 2004, Potters Nursery transforms into a 28,000-square-foot Christmas lover's paradise. Now until December 24, Potters has tens of thousands of holiday-related items for sale, from tasteful and unusual decor, gifts and over 50,000 ornaments!This year, The Christmas Store has added a completely new section called WhoVille, filled with all the Grinch-related Christmas goodies you could dream of. The store also has a 3,000-square-foot “Dark Room,” a room that glows entirely by tree lights.
Equally as important as Christmas gifts and decor is food, and The Christmas Store has no shortage of it. Gourmet popcorn, hot chocolate, jams and sauces are among the highlights, plus specialty treats like mince tarts straight from Scotland.
If you have a pet, you'll have to pay a visit to Petland, a section of the store devoted to spoiling your fur baby with holiday stockings, cushions and treats.
Potters Nursery is in the Cloverdale area of Surrey and about a one-hour drive from downtown Vancouver. It's a mini road trip worth taking, though, because you'll easily spend hours wandering the store and will leave with some really unique gifts for the loved ones on your list.
For the ultimate Christmas road trip out of Vancouver, you'll have to pay a visit to the world's largest Christmas light maze coming to Seattle this year. The 100,000-square-foot space will be filled with a million twinkling lights and it's truly a sight to see for anyone who loves this time of year.
