This "Hidden" All Pink Tortilleria In Vancouver Is The Taco Shop Of Your Dreams

Tucked away in the corner of a little-trodden block of downtown Vancouver is a newly opened "tortilleria" serving up delicious meaty Mexican tortillas that will make your mouth water.

Chancho Tortilleria, located at 1204 Seymour St, recently opened this summer and we've never been more excited! In a community full of vegans and vegetarians, I'd like to say that I'm a proud meat-lover and I'm more than ecstatic that this new taco joint is totally meat focused. Hence the name of the taco shop, "Chancho", which literally means "pig".

And how suiting that this "pig" tortilleria is ALL PINK! It is literally the cutest taco shop that you've ever seen. The walls are also decked out with adorable cartoon characters and random little doodles that give this taco shop a cute and eclectic kind of vibe.

Chancho will be serving up crispy, fatty, melt-in-your-mouth carnitas on corn tortillas by the pound. Okay well, by 1/4, 1/2, and full 1-pounder carnitas tortillas. Their "little meats" are cooked low and slow in confit-fashion, and then heated at high temps to add that delicious bit of crispiness. My mouth is literally watering describing this to you.

And alright, vegetarians can get in on this too. They also serve a few vegetarian dishes like their Papas Dias (potato dish of the day), Verduras Dias (veggie dish of the day), and Campechano (potato and veggie mix).

Well anyhow, it's time for me to shut up and for you to get in on this ishhh. Chancho is located at 1204 Seymour St and is open Monday to Saturday from 11:30 AM until they run out of grub (which they say is around 5 PM). So get on over there quickly before they run out!
