This Street In Vancouver Is Closing Down Again In August For Its Giant Games Night
You heard it here first! West End Games Night is coming back one more time in August before the Summer comes to a close! What does this mean? More sun, more music, more games, and more chances to swipe the coveted bragging rights from your friends!
Their last games night, which took place on July 27, was a huge hit with close to 1000 participants occupying the square during the event!
Once again, they'll be taking over the Jim Deva Plaza on Bute and Davie and turning it into a street-long games night from 6 to 9 PM! Their last outdoor event will be taking place on August 24th!
Much like last time, the plaza will be stocked with: giant jenga; hex-a-pong; and local musicians and DJ's playing all night long. They'll also have every board game you can think of! Settlers of Catan, Cards Against Humanity, Dungeons and Dragons and Citadel (as well as the classics of course) are all up for game!
And of course, there will be people on site to teach you any new games you're looking to learn about!
Hungry? The street will be full of outdoor patio-style seating, with enough room for games and free snacks - and you're more than welcome to bring your own food. Those in the mood for a cold beer can rejoice as they'll have $3 craft beer available!
