Summer can bring seriously hot temperatures to Vancouver – so what better way to cool off than with a dip in a scenic swimming spot? If you're looking for a gorgeous place to swim and lay out in the sun this summer, you need to check out Widgeon Falls.

Widgeon Falls has a stunning swimming hole with crystal clear turqoise waters. This is a hidden gem that not many people know about, so you'll be able to have a more secluded outdoor adventure.

Getting to this spot is a journey, but it's a fun one that is totally worth the trek. The falls are only reachable via hike and canoe/kayak which make the adventure all the more fun.

Widgeon Falls is located in Pitt Meadows close to Pitt Lake. You can bring your own kayaks or canoes or rent one with Pitt Lake Canoe Adventures, which is located at the trailhead.

The swimming hole and waterfall is a part of Widgeon Valley National Wildlife Park. Aside from canoeing and hiking, you can also camp overnight at the waterfall – the perfect summer adventure with your S/O or friends!

To get to the trailhead, drive over the Pitt River bridge, turn left onto Old Dewdney Trunk Rd, and then take another left onto Harris Rd. Keep following Harris until McNeil Rd, where you take a right. Turn left onto Rannie Rd and keep driving until you reach Pitt Lake Canoe Adventures
