This Tropical Tiki Bar Is A Little Slice Of Hawaii In Vancouver

The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are getting lower, and the summer just keeps feeling farther and farther away. Fall can definitely feel rather depressing, especially if you live in Vancouver.
But if you're looking for a tropical escape in this cold and rainy city, there's a hidden little tiki room that will transport you all the way back to your Hawaii summer trip 2017 feels.
Located in the South Main neighbourhood is your sweet "summer" escape — The Shameful Tiki Room. When you first arrive at the Tiki Room, the entrance is completely blacked out ... very mysterious. As you walk inside you'll be completely surrounded by palm trees, bamboo plants, lanterns, and waiters who looked like they just stepped off the plane from Hawaii.
And at The Shameful Tiki Room, size matters because you can get huge punch bowls that light up with fire! And by huge we mean freaking MASSIVE. Even the straws are extra long, guaranteed to have you sipping all night long 😉.
We defs recommend getting the Voodoo Bowl or the Volcano Bowl, because if you do, they play lightning loud voodoo music as it arrives to let everyone know you're gonna get drunk AF tonight.
To make your tropical experience even hotter, The Shameful Tiki Room hosts a Waikiki Wednesday every week that features authentic hula dance parties. And on Sundays, they host a Go-Go Bungalow Show where their decked out gogo girl dancers show of their moves to Polynesian pop ... so you can feel like you're on holiday all year long.
So get ready to escape the winter chills and embrace the tropical heat at The Shameful Tiki Room, located at 4362 Main St. Open Sunday to Thursday 5 p.m. to midnight, and Friday to Saturday 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
