November is officially upon us, and we all know that the end of Halloween pretty much marks the start of the holiday season. Is it too soon to bust out the holiday movies and start listening to Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" on repeat? We think not. On a side note, Love Actually was just brought back to Netflix Canada today, which means even they think it's time to start a Christmas movie marathon.

If you're excited for the holiday season to hit Vancouver, we have some good news to brighten up your day. Vancouver is known for its complete transformation during the holidays. The whole city gets lit up by bright lights, Christmas trees, and more! There's never any shortage of fun, festive events to hit up during the winter in Vancouver.

One disadvantage, of course, is that the city doesn't tend to get a lot of snow. There's the occasional snow fall that sends the city into a frantic frenzy, but overall, most holiday events and activities in Vancouver are not accompanied by any glistening flurries. For this reason, winter events in Vancouver can sometimes lack that magical spark that makes the holidays so special.

Fortunately, if you're looking to experience a snowy, winter wonderland right in the city this holiday season, there is a way. The top of Grouse Mountain transforms into a breathtaking Christmas wonderland every year called The Peak of Christmas. Today, we're thrilled to share that it is making its return in 2018!

The Peak of Christmas is the place to go for a true winter experience in Vancouver. This year, the mountain top festivities will run from November 23rd 2018 to January 6th, 2019, so there will be two months of festive fun on the mountain.

There are several Christmas festivities happening on Grouse Mountain and you will not want to miss out on any of the holiday fun. All of the activities are included with your ticket or pass.

There will be a massive 8,000 square foot outdoor ice skating rink where you'll be able to skate under the stars beside Santa's workshop. You can rent skates on site.

If you love being dazzled by Christmas lights, you'll absolutely love their Light Walk. Lights from several installations will illuminate the snowy paths through the forest and around the lake. One of the highlights is their light tunnel – an Instagram must.

If you ever wanted to experience a real sleigh ride, you can check that off your bucket list, too. The Peak of Christmas offers mountaintop rides through the dense forest. There's also a Sliding Zone for all ages where you'll be able to relive all the childhood fun of sledding.

Also at the Peak of Christmas are attractions such as Santa's Workshop, a Gingerbread Village, screenings of Christmas movies, a craft station, live entertainment, and Christmas storytelling. After meeting Santa, you can head to the Reindeer habitat to geet his loyal companions.
