This Village In BC Is Literally Turning Into The North Pole And It's Only A Few Hours From Vancouver

Kick off the Christmas season with a bang... literally!

Every year, this annual event grows into something more and more magnificent. If you're from the Okanagan then you've definitely heard of this wondrous event. If you're not from Kelowna, and you've never visited their gorgeous Mountains, then this is the best excuse you have to check out Interior BC's incredible snow.

On December 2nd, you can party at Big White Ski Resort's winter kick-off, Light Up Big White. Celebrate all night long with hundreds of other people in the Village! There will be a huge carnival located inside the Village Center Mall, equipped with games, prizes, and tons of treats. This is perfect for a family getaway or a weekend with friends!

The festivities begin at5:00pm with a spectacular laser show that covers the entire village in glimmering lights. At 6:30pm make sure to grab your BF (or your BFFs) and snuggle up outside to watch the magical LED light display. We're talking thousands of enchanting lights all twinkling at once.

Shortly after, the Kelowna skies will be lit up by an amazing firework display. This will put all of your other Christmas festivities to shame. You can't beat this incredible event.

Oh, and this event is FREE! The party will be located at the Big White Ski Resort Village at 5315 Big White Rd, Kelowna, BC V1P 1P3.

And if that's not reason enough, you should know that Big White Moutain is known for their premium champagne powder. If you're a skier or a snowboarder, this will be heaven. The village is adorable enough, will be decked out in Christmas lights and will surely be covered in a soft blanket of snow.

There are only two things you need to know about Kelowna: 1. The mountain is always covered in fresh powder 2. They know how to party. 🎉
