Vancouver's New TransLink Bus Passes Are Tiny Enough To Fit On Your Keys
Ever wish that your commute could be more fun? Perhaps more whimsical, even? B.C.'s TransLink system that operates in Metro Vancouver has just introduced the most convenient and cute way to ride the bus. Starting on Friday, December 6 you will be able to get TransLink's coveted tiny compass cards that are so small they look like they're fit for baby Yoda.
The Compass Mini is a reloadable fare card that Vancouverites use within TransLink's network of buses, trains, and SeaBuses. You can load money onto it or use it as a monthly bus pass.
Since you need to tap in and out on the Skytrain and Canada Line, having a mini version is going to make life so much easier.
The transportation network will be releasing only 5,000 mini versions of the blue adult fare cards plus 2,500 of the orange concession fare ones.
They're sure to go fast and are only available until supplies last.
Last year, Translink released Compass pass wristbands that almost immediately sold out.
They were so coveted that people were trying to resell the $6 wristbands for up to $100 online.
It's possible that the same will happen with these tiny versions. Let's hope that people won't be reselling them for outrageous prices online.

Whether you've hopelessly fumbled around looking for your card just so you could leave a station or been stuck behind someone who has, you know that anything that helps you keep track of it is a plus.

The Compass Mini will fit on a keychain and you can attach it to your bag, your keys, or even the zipper of your raincoat.
To get your hands on one of these adorably tiny passes, check out the Compass Customer Service Centre. It's downtown at the Stadium–Chinatown Station. There's a $6 refundable deposit to get one.
You can also get them at the West Coast Express Office in Waterfront Station. For more info and to see the opening hours of these offices, check out the official website.
